Publication from CELS

Title: Political Philosophy of the Education Reform [ปรัชญาการเมืองของการปฏิรูปการศึกษา]
Author: CELS
Language: English
ISBN 974-656-774-8

Philosophies of education cannot be understood except in a broad context of societal evolution and history. In Part 1, we examine political philosophies that explain educational policies in an historical perspective. In Part 2, different approaches of philosophies of education are presented. The “stream approach” is used in Part 3 to build a general and manageable theoretical framework for revealing the meaning and possible effects of educational policies. This framework gives sense to current debates on education worldwide and in Thailand as well. To download CELS Working Papers No1, September 2005, please click here.
